For optimal benefits, it's best to keep the water in a closed container if you're not planning to consume immediately. This helps maintain the hydrogen rich concentration, ensuring you get the most out of your hydrogenated water.
After hydrogenating your water with the HydroThrives water bottle or jug, it's best to consume it within 1-2 hours to fully enjoy its benefits. While the hydrogenated water doesn't "expire" in the traditional sense, the concentration of hydrogen gas will begin to decrease once the process is complete, especially if the water left in an open container. To maximize the benefits, we recommend drinking the hydrogenated water soon after it's prepared.
Its best to Clean your unit gently with mild soap and warm water. If you're in an area with hard water, it's a good idea to occasionally descale the unit. To descale, pour 1/4 cup of distilled white vinegar over the titanium plates in the center of the base, making sure they are fully covered. Allow the vinegar to sit for upwards of 12 hours, then rinse well. It's best to do this descaling process once per month for the best results.

We recommend using room temp, cold water or iced water. DO NOT pour boiling hot water in your bottle or pitcher, as it may cause damage to the proton exchange membrane (PEM).

Since the new HydroThrives water bottle still needs to activate the PEM proton membrane, very few bubbles can form in it during the first electrolysis sessions. Before first use activate the PEM proton membrane: Fill the glass 80% full with drinking water, start the hydrogen production 10 minute session by pressing the activation button twice in quick succession then repeating once more (total 20 min) DO NOT OPEN LID and let bottle sit for 8-10 hours. Rinse out bottle and it is now ready for use! Enjoy!
